FRIENDS ONLY.

I've seen some things, man, and some stuff! I wouldn't recommend it!

Comment here if you want to be on my flist. Tell me how you found me and what we have in common.

TV:
Lost, FlashForward, Fringe, Heroes, Family Guy, Star Trek TOS, Conan O'Brien, Craig Ferguson

MUSIC:
Genres; rock, classic rock, alternative, pop, trance/techno/electronica, classical, new age, foreign/world.
Artists; 30 Seconds to Mars, Beto Cuevas, Bloc Party, Camila, D'Nash, Depeche Mode, Dong Bang Shin Ki, La Ley, Lostprophets, Manuel Carrasco, Muse, Tarkan, Viva La Union, Yanni, etc.

MOVIES:
The Lord of the Rings, Alexander, Requiem for a Dream, There Will Be Blood, Something's Gotta Give, various Disney's (mostly 90's), Star Trek, etc.

RL:
Heidi; 17; science, nature, writing, photography, travel. A loud, obnoxious, opinionated, outgoing, adventurous, crazy woman hiding under the shell of a shy and unassuming teenage girl. Loves warm weather, horses, thunderstorms, books. Better at writing than speaking. Better with a lens than a brush. Plans to become an anthropologist, or something similar. Still searching for the meaning of life, and hoping to enjoy the journey along the way.

The majority of content in this journal is related to RL events, so think twice before friending me if you're expecting a constant flow of fic about the aforementioned fandoms (although that can be expected at times). This is where I can air out all my most secret thoughts and deepest feelings, and it is therefore my sanctuary. Don't betray that.

Also, I like my men tall, dark, and with an accent. Just so you know.

Today is Jessica's ([info]cawmrseagull) birthday, and since I can't give her a present made of physical matter (not yet, anyway ;)), I am going to give her a present made of pixels!

That's right, it's a...

ZACHARY QUINTO PICSPAM!

In annoying unrelated news, my internet isn't working for some goddamn reason so I had to do this picspam on my sister's computer. If I don't find out what's wrong with my computer soon Imma throw a brick at the window. Or something.

Yeyah mothafucka! It's time to recap that bitch!

So last Saturday, the 22nd, Cate ([info]cate_mmds), Jessica ([info]cawmrseagull), and I ([info]purexxjuice) went to go see Star Trek. It was 100 degrees that day and you know it's because all these hot GQMFs were in the same vicinity.

Click here if you want to hear a story about the coolest bitches this side of the Wasatch. )

"You've heard of Ebonics? How about Utahnics? The Utah accent is really hard to reproduce in print but it's kind of like a choppier version of a Valley Girl accent with more frequent abuse of misplaced glottal stops. Mountain: see, Mau-en. Clinton: see, Cli-en. Also: pillow, milk, crayon, and mirror = pellow, melk, cren, and meer. There's also a very special intonation called "church voice" that is a little bit like the Yiddish verklempt in that the voice gets all quiet and wavery, but with the added Utah effect of being full of "the spirit" and full of "telling you what to do." Utah accents are funny haha, but Church Voice is funny gross."

(sorry about the crappy quality)

(also, sorry about the long awkward pauses, I was ~deep in thought trying to remember examples of the Utah accent XD)

Damnit, I forgot about Layton! Layton is a city in northern Utah, and I say it like "Lay-uhn" ;)

Have you ever considered converting to another religion?

I was raised in a fundamentalist Mormon group (a.k.a. cult), then my family left the cult and since then I've been back and forth between neutral agnosticism and full-blown atheism. Knowing what I know, and going through what I went through, I don't think I'm ever gonna go anywhere near any religion ever again. I can appreciate the mysteries of the world as they are. I'm here to enjoy life, not to try to force my beliefs about it on other people. I like balancing the known and the unknown, and I'm in no hurry to try to find scientific proof of the existence, or lack thereof, of a supreme being. Just leave me alone and don't preach your bullshit at me.
